I drink one or two beers a day. I like them cold.

Sometimes it is a Heini in the "keg" can, sometimes a Heini light (long neck), a Heini in a bottle and sometimes a Becks.

None of the cosys I have found fit all of them. My grandson brought me one when he came to visit. It was a "strap" about 5" wide with velcro on the ends that was filled with material similar to the "blue gel" that is used in cooler chests.

I put it in the freezer. When I wanted a beer I would wrap it around whatever I had and it fit. It also kept the brew cold while I sipped away for my typical 30-45 minutes. I loved it.

Then I found out that he had swiped it from his dad, who loved it just as much as I did. So I gave it back.

My problem is that dad doesn't remember where he got it.

Where can I get myself a couple (I often drink my beer when I have company)?

We bout it at Kmart a few years back.......(Its a Packer on, not sure if they make plain ones)

Re: Help me find this cosy.

I have one of those mugs, Pony. Haven't tried it with beer. I used to use it with iced tea and iced coffee. It usually froze a layer of the drink on the inside surface. I will give it a try.

Thanks for the link, ZmOz. I may buy a couple of those, but I hate it when a $1.99 item has a $4 shipping cost. A lot of ebay sellers price an item very low and kite the "shipping" cost. Must be some sort of tax avoidance scheme.

Re: Help me find this cosy.

I don't think it's a tax avoidance, you gotta pay for whatever your profit on shipping if your actually keeping track for tax purposes. I have to claim all $ taken in on shipping/handeling, then deduct my actual costs, anything left over is profit. A lot of people just flat out do it to try to get more $.

I saw a heater on sale with an opening bid of $5, and $25 shipping. It was 10 miles from me, so I emailed the seller and asked if local pickup would be ok. The reply was, " No, I'm trying to make the $ on the shipping becuase it won't sell for much"

And for obvious reasons, nobody bid on that item. But for many people, they will just play the high shipping. I'll pay more for an item to a seller that charges believable shipping.

THe closest thing i've found to a locator beacon for a hugger, coozy or what ever you want to call it is one that glows in the dark. I'm the worlds worst at setting a beer down then not being able to find it.

Re: Help me find this cosy.

KK, my dollar budget and my calorie budget give me options.

I would rather nurse one Becks that stays cold than guzzle several of the armadillo squeezins that are so popular. I don't like the interference with proper brain function that comes with more than one good beer or one good scotch.

Snapper, thanks anyway.

JMW, getting closer, but not the item I am looking for. Thanks for the suggestions.
