Hi all...I don't have any pictures as of yet so I know I am asking for a lot here. I have just negotiated the purchase of a 19 foot Starcraft. It has 3 knee braces like my 1963 Jet (I think it is a Jet by what I have read on the site) 16 footer. I have no idea when it was built and have not had enough time to look around the boat to find the hull id placard. It has a rectangular windshield (well parts of it, no glass on the port side), no floor and 1 back to back red seat on an aluminum tube frame. I must admit I have never seen the aluminum tube frame for a seat before. Maybe that will help to put an approximate year of manufacture on her.

I will post some pics when I am able to get her home. The owner has no information on her as he bought her strictly for the Force 50 hp motor. Actually the last 2 owners have bought her for the motor. The first bought it for a newer 90hp 4 stroke and then sold it with the Force 50 to this guy. I am buying it with a junk trailer and the boat which seems to be in rather good condition. The inside of the hull is very clean, no corrosion that I can see, but needs a new floor. The paint is peeling like a bad case of dandruff. Looks like it was painted with an interior latex paint. I can't tell the condition of the transom yet. I will be able to tell a bit better when the motor comes off her and I can scrape the paint off. One other thing to note is that there looks to be a hatch in the bow, centered in front of the windshield. I had very little time to look at the boat when I stopped so I am not even sure it was a hatch, but it sure looked like one.

Hatch in the bow and assuming no cabin, sounds like it could be a Holiday. Some older models had tubular frames for the back to back lounge seats.

Yes no cabin. Did the Holiday come in 19 foot? I havent actually put a tape on it so I am taking the guys word on it being a 19 footer. I hope to be able to look it over some more the end of this week and get some pictures posted. The price is right no mater what model it is. The guy is giving it to me if I pull the motor and control off it first. A couple hours work for non corroded hull sounds like a good deal to me.

Thanks for taking a stab at it with no pictures or much details to go on.

Let me tell you a secret - As easy as it is to measure from the tip of the bow to the outside of the transom, a lot of people eyeball their thumb and say that's about 19 feet. If there is no opening window in the center of the windshield, they get close with a tape measure. Does this one have the two pane windshield or the three piece opening type, like a walk through?

It is the two piece from what I remember. I should be going this weekend to pull the motor and drag her home so I will be able to get additional info and pictures of her.

i think Holiday too....not many other things it could be in, that size and with a closed bow. look at the pics in the "post a pic of your starcraft" thread and see if it looks like anything in there. and the exact length is likely 18'4", which was the standard Starcraft 19ish foot hull in the 60s.

welcome, and post pix. i'll cover your first year's Starmada dues.
