Thought i'd take the rig out for a nice trip this weekend, only to meet with near disaster, engine tilted up stuck, strong current, waves, rocks, near death experience! My problem is this, the tilt/trim will go up, but gets stuck there, and wont go down; when I hit the down switch, you can hear a click on the motor, but nothing; after sitting for several minutes, it will sporadically work, i.e. go down a few inches then stop; does this sound like the switch going bad, or the motor itself, as it works great going up ? Please help !!!!!!!!!!!
Engine is quite heavy and should push down hard, so the hydraulics (or similar) mechanism inside the trim unit are clogged? Or stuck in some way. Or the motor is not driving the trim properly. Get back to use on wether the trim motor spins at all.
