I need to know the year of this motor Im about to buy,Its a (Evinrude Whispering Power Aqua Sonic Fleetwin 7.5. serial no...(7518-75902) My question here is what year would it be and would it be easy to get parts for it if needed?? This will be my first:redface:

That's a 1955 7.5hp Evinrude, 52 years old. Obtaining parts may be difficult.

Depends on what parts you need. You would be surprised at how much stuff is still available. For instance, water pump impellers, ignition parts, gearcase seal kits, and carb kits are available right here at iboats.

Hmm Now you got me thinking again lol,what about a fuel pump?He said right now it dont have this pressurized gas tank its needing,so he said I should just get a fuel pump put in it and that it would be better?

I'd be you could find a half dozen of the pressure tanks on eBay on any given day. Also, many marinas have a "graveyard" area where obsolete stuff is tossed and I've found several old tanks over the years. Poke around, ask questions and you'd be surprised what turns up. Also, try posting an ad on your local Craigslist.org page. The pressure tanks work fine and a rebuild kit for one of them is less than the cost to convert to a fuel pump...
