Help, My power tilt only works sometimes

My power tilt on my 1976 Searay only will work for about 5 seconds then I have to wait 10-15 seconds before it will do anything again. It happens going up and down. It has a Mercruiser stern drive.

could be the motor is shot and its drawing to much current

Just had the same problem on my OMC. Bearings were shot in the tilt motor. Replaced the motor and all works well now.

It Could be as Simple as Bad Wiring..........
