HELP Need PART, HELP

I took out my lower unit and found that the upper roller bearing was bad, i have ordered it from a local boat repair shop but they cant find a replacement gear that goes at the bottom of the drive shaft. I have looked it up on line and you can only buy the whole set and not just the small pinion gear. I have an Evinrude F40ELCO, g1014084. Any help!!!!
If anyone has a spare kicking around or used as a paper weight plz plz plz let me know....... I'm running out of ideas..

Is the pinion gear damaged? If it is, the ring gear is likely damaged as well, right?

No just the pinion gear, the upper roller bearings fell down into the lower chamber and got chewed up in the gear case by the forward gear and the pinion gear. The forward gear has some little chips out of it but overall is still in great condition. I just need the pinion gear.

Ayuh,... They're sold as a Matched Set for a reason,.... You Need Both...
