Help needed for year of Duratech 93

I would like to know the exact year of my rowboat for the registration. It is a Duratech 93 and it has an id# 15201. Thanks, Frank

Joe will pop in with a reply I'm sure (he is the expert), but I'm pretty sure your boat is from the mid 1950's. I'm not positive the numbers are sequential across models, but my 1957 Duratech S-147-RD has a serial number of 19111, and your number is lower. You say it is a Duratech 93 --- if that is like my boat then that could mean it is a 9 footer build in 1953.

Looking at the pictures, it does look like it was last registered in 2004 -- since it is that recent you should be able to get info from the state department that registered it as to what the stated year of the boat was on the prior registration.

By the way, is the other Duratech in the second picture yours? Good luck with it.

She's a '56, based on that serial number. The "3" in the 93 doesn't represent the year, as the "7" in the S-147 does...but good thinking Mike! The model "93" did not change across the years, whereas the S-147 was a '57, then became the S-148 for '58, and S-149 for '59. They then removed the last numeric digit when they hit 1960...my guess is so that the S-149 (and other models with similar model configs) did not become the S-140. Wonder if they thought of that in prior years...maybe not. :-D
