help needed sportster 1972 25 hp

Hi ,just finish changing points and condenser rebuilt the motor and now i got 2 screws left and i dont know where they go.Its with the allen key head..when i pull to start the motor very hard to pull. im gessing they go under the flywheel somewhere .look in the service manual canot find where they go.thank you.

How big are these screws? If they are quite large, center main bearing.

no not large.allen key is 5.5 mm and the dia.of the screw is 1/4 and length is one inch and 9 /16. thank you.

0203249 SCREW, Crankcase, center .I think i found it will go check and reply thank you anyway

That's the one I was thinking of, but remember it as being larger. Maybe not.

Should be able to see where they go by pulling off the carb. If these are the ones, you didn't torque the intake side in sequence. Would be safe to remove everything in the way and re-torque the intake half to the crank case half in the proper sequence.

Put everything back together .In the service manual they tell me to torque the flywheel 40 to 45 lbs. I torque it at 45 lbs but now i find it very hard to pull.If i torque it at 40 lbs would it be easier to pull ?Also when the 2 screws of the crankcase were missing i tried to start the motor pull a few time it was very hard to pull.did i brake something by pulling without the crankcase screws thank you
