help please need external power trim pump wiruing diagram to contrl box 1985

bought a used 1985 50hp. 4 cyl

externsl trim pump with 4 hydro lines

prior owner cut wires at control box and at pump

looks to be a flat multicolored ribbon at control box.....

any help please with a wiribg diagram?

also how to refill pump?

The top right of the pump/reservoir should have a stainless steel round head slotted screw. Fill until full with either 5W-30 motor oil or ATF, whatever what is already in there.

PTT wiring is easy, especially if Trim Limit switch is broken, and most/all are at this point. You need three wires to two pushbuttons. Top pushbutton maybe ignored, if the other two work. Red to one side of both buttons for power. Blue wire from top button to blue wire on PTT Pump solenoid. Green from lower button to green wire on PTT Pump. Green(water) is for down, blue (sky) is for up. Purple was for trim limit switch. Ignore it....

Wire it the same way, if you have the control mounted toggle switch. Toggle up to put power on blue wire, toggle down to put power on green wire.
