Help Please! Need Fiberglass repair assessment

Happy easter! IM looking a a boat purchase over easter holiday.

hull and floor and transom appear stong

this boat however appered to have a collision and a fiberglass patch on the side

not large however likley at the water line.

2nd owner

see the attched pics and you can see the patch...the bondo was not smooth

also i found inbside some fiberglass strands peeking thru the insualtion

alos the insualtion appears yellow instead of white as the rest of the boat


help me solve what the repair was....and if this a big negative in boat buying

quickly as i leave town in 2 days

look at the rub rail damage the patch is below in the red area

Hard to tell .. but I think it was a tear in the glass.

You would have to glass inside and out. I dont know how hard it would be to get to the inside ( doesnt look that hard ).

Its the Red that gonna be a problem on the outside repair.

All and all from your pics it would not be that hard to fix this if you had all the materials at hand.

But sometimes looks can be deceptive ..
