We just recently purchased a trophy pro 2052 as out family's second boat and we are experiencing an odd problem. When we first got the boat it ran 100% flawlessly and we had no problems but just recently we encountered an odd beep that would come on as we start the motor and it does not turn off until we turn it off by key or over an extended period of time (somewhere in the 3-4 min range) it turns off. This beep has kept us from taking it out in the past few weeks, but when we run the motor at home to flush it the beeping doesn't happen. The motor is a mercury mercruiser 4.3, and you have a solution to this problem please me know asap.

Thank you,
Jacob k.

Sounds like the drive oil res needs fluid added. Read the owners manual. 'nutcase

thank you, going to go get some now and test it, but I'm not sure what oil to purchase for this specific engine. Any idea please let me know.

Jacob, welcome to iboats.

If you go to the top of the forum and click on the "Adults Only" sticky you can download the OEM service manuals for your engine and outdrive. They will answer all of your ?'s on type of oil, how often to change it etc. There is also a ton of other vital info in that post. The downloads are free!! Good luck

You may not even have a reservoir in your boat. Nothing in your post to indicate year, engine size, drive type or anything else.
If your engine is a non EFI engine, there are 3 things that can cause an alarm. If it's EFI, there are LOTS of things.

I don't mean to state the obvious, but the beep is from an installed warning system that is there to make you aware of a problem so you don't ruin your propulsion system.

As Don stated, based on your engine, there are different things that will cause the alarm to go off. (high engine temperature, low oil pressure, low outdrive reservoir level,...)
