Hi my father gave me a mercury 650 3 Cylinders I can not find the year on it. the lower unit needs replaced the serial number on the one I have is 4140750 was woundering if serial number 4049424 would work for a replacement thanks for any insight

Both of those serial numbers fall within 1974 - 1976. I don't know if the parts are compatible.
