HELP Road tar on boat seat

They went down our road today with one of those asphalt blowers filling the pot holes and one of the rocks somehow was kicked up into the boat on the way to the lake and stained one seat. I was able to get the tar off but like I said, there's a stain there now. Anyone have a suggestion on how to get a tar stain off the seat ?

yea wd40 usually removes tar

I tried WD40. yeah it removes the tar but not the stain.

You could try simple green or even acetone. In my roofing days acetone was great but make sure you use gloves and apply some conditioner right away what ever you do. Good luck
