Help selecting next boat.

After 3 seasons with my first boat (1989 Cruisers Inc. Barnegat 2530), I'm getting ready to move up in the next year or two. After owning this starter boat, I learned a few things about how I use the boat, and what makes sense for me.

I want an open bow boat (since I'm 6'3", and hate ducking my head in to a cabin), that has a real head system, and twin engines (preferably smaller mercs, 5.0's or twin v-6s, but anything that doesn't eat too much gas). I'd also like it to be fairly substantial, to hold up to the waves that hit our Lake Erie shores. Must have shorepower. I want twin engines after being stranded in a few different boats with only one engine (most recently our own when we broke the gearbox). I'm thinking something 27'-30' feet.

Thanks for your input.

That does seem like it's right up my alley, sea-worthy, dual engine, open bow. However, since it was just released in 2007 (I think), it'll be a tall order to find one under $50k when it retails for $145k. Nice boat though.

I see Four Winns makes a couple that fit the bill, including a 31' - used for $91k. Looks like I'll probably have to wait a few more years. http://www.yachttraderonline.com/listing/2007-Four-Winns-310-HORIZON-96807716

WOW!!! I had no clue it cost that much! Where did you find the retail price at? There went my dream!!!!!

I googled, and one came up on the market place. I called local dealer to confirm.

It's also a little less sexy, and a little more practical than I am looking for. Through my lunch hour, I looked through some boats for sale, and forgot about my love of Sunseekers. They scream early 90's excess, and I love that. Like this: http://www.yachttraderonline.com/listing/1992-Sunseeker-43-Thunderhawk-96916456

That boat has been for sale down the road from me for more than 2 years. It sure needs some TLC, but I'm pretty certain I could get it down to somewhere around half of asking. That's more boat (and maintenance) than I was looking for, but.... it'd be seaworthy. Yeah, that's how to justify it, it's more seaworthy :D
