Need advice on where to start. <br /><br />17'6" Glasspar Seafair Sunliner<br />150 hp Evinrude 1986<br /><br />Estimate weight of boat with gear and 3 people.<br />2500 lbs<br /><br />Running at sea level.<br /><br />I have no prop for this motor yet and need some advice on where to start size and pitch 3 or 4 blade. Will be used solely for fishing.

I'd ask around and find a good prop wizard in your area, call him on the fone, tell him what ya got and, if necessary, take the boat to him and let him make recommendations. They'll usually work a deal with you where you buy his prop and if you're not satisified, they'll change 'um out 'til your happy. It'll save you a lot of time and it's money well spent. I've been to that site before but I have no current data to input since I have never run this motor.

most propshops will let you test run and swap out until you find the one that lets you operate in the recommended rpm range at wot.
