5.7 Gsi PEFS throttle body injection

i can put around all i want but seemingly just fine but as soon is you give it gas and it gets up to 3000rpm it will sputter or miss... and then recovers... then sputters and alittle backfire but not always backfire then it will drop
maybe 2-300 rpm and make its way back up to around 3100 or 3200 rpm and repeats the said process...

so i put in a new cap and rotor and wires and still same problem only difference is that i get another 8 knots out of my 3000 rpm. but same problem.

other symptoms are:
blacker exhause at idle and lower rpm

thats really it... im sure its getting too much gas and the new cap n' rotor just helped burn the exess gas...

Throttle Body ? what do i do with it? that it?

did u check for water in your gas?change gas fiter..

new TBI? or old problem? Did something change?

I have a FI system and was having intermittent problems, exact same symptoms. It was Fuel delivery. Had to move my FI pump lower. They don't pull fuel very well.

wondering if anyone has ever delt with such a problem, and how to fish it, i cant run all season like this.

plug wires look good.... no visible spark jumpin around

have not put new cap in rotor in...

could it be to something wrong with the throttle body sensor and its giving to much gas or something tweaked in there?

wondering if anyone has ever delt with such a problem, and how to fish it, i cant run all season like this.

A bad cap and rotor with moister in side will make it run like that, When was the last tune up and full service you have had??? Impeller, plugs, wires, oils, power and ground wires at both ends cleaned, ect, ect, ect,

Like the previous posted said,

Check the fuel pressure

Rig a gauge that you can check the pressure when the condition occurs, a restriction in the dip tube inside the fuel tank, check valve on top of the tank fitting, filter(s) or a weakening pump, and the pressure will begin to fall off with increased throttle loading.

Then get out there after the Salmon!

Thanx for input.... im going to tune up with new plugs distributer cap and rotor,

Then ill try and move on if thats not it...

did u check for water in your gas?change gas fiter..

gas is good,, no water in "ray-core" or gas tank... and i dont think air but maybe a look at the FI while problem is happin.. hope no spark jumps!!!

Hi I found your up date, [FYI] Just so know and also to get some more and better help from the guys that like to help out, Next time just post A new update from the bottom of this thread so it will have a chance to run thru the first few hot pages again Now Did you pull out and look at the spark plugs while you where in there working on it? and did you change them out also? Where they rich looking at all? Just a thought You might want to do a compression test to make sure the engine is ok it's self, because it might not be the EFI system at this point. Did this problem just show up out of the blue on you? How manny hours on the engine???
