I just perchase a 1987 Bayliner contessa 2850, Thet tell me the engine is an OMC 350 270 hp. Is that ust a chevy 350? where does the OMC come in?? I know, How stupid is this guy?? Help!

OMC is the drive package....<br />It is most likely a 350 Chevy, however...<br />Post the serial # located on the engine...<br />Usually on a metal tag...<br />That will help with a specific ID .....JK

If you give Bayliner a call toll free at 877-861-6494, and have your Hull ID number. They can tell you what came with the boat when new.<br />They will also send you a copy of the owners manual for free.
