HELP!! turned off battery kill switch while engine was running????

now my stereo dosent work and blows fuses every time i replace them? Do you think i shorted my stereo? My tach works and looks like the battery is charging whil the engine is on. Does any one know what else may be affected by doing that? Thanks!!

The only way to determine what might be affected is to try everything on the boat. If something doesn't work, improper switch use probably did the damage. I would suspect that the only items damaged may be "electronic" items like your stereo, an amp if you have one, a cell phone that was plugged in, a fish finder or GPS etc. Motors such as on bilge pumps or live well pumps probably survived the oops! Check the NAV/ANC lights as the over voltage may have done them in if they were on at the time. Same for instrument lights.
