Help w/25 hp Evinrude

I have a 1978 25 hp Evinrude that is tiller controlled. I would like to convert it to remote control but have no clue where to get started or if this can even be done. Can anyone help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

Does the motor have a tapped yoke below the lower motor cover? If so, it's not a big deal. You'll need on OMC clevis (get from a dealer) which will attach to the end of a mech'l steering setup (Morse, Teleflex, etc.)

Please excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by a tapped yoke?

It looks like a piece of threaded one inch pipe under the tiller handle. These engines usually were ordered the way you wanted them. You may need to change the whole lower support. Might be cost prohibitive.
