believe that would be OMC -- Canadian listers can confirm. Look for a small port on the side of the leg about halfway down. Remove the port (two screws), and you should see the link between the upper and lower shift rod. You may have to shift between gears until it comes in view (probably in forward gear). Don't force it into gear. Manually turn the prop or flywheel slightly while shifting. I think the link has a slotted screw that you back out to free the top rod from the lower one. Then you would drop the lower unit in normal fashion.<br /><br />Good luck.
