i recently bought a Yamaha f100txrz on Craigslist for $400, with no controls i took a chance maybe it runs good, looks in good condition, owner said that he bought the motor as a project but didnt get to it. i bought used control box 703 from a local yamaha dealer and it came with a 10 pin harness. im confused as to how to connect the 10 pin harness from the control box to the motor. the motor has a 6 pin and a 8 pin connector and the control box has a 10 pin. please help, i want to try get this motor running. Mahalo!

Something is not adding up. An F100TXRZ should have a ten pin connector in the front of the lower cowling.

Why are you showing us the 688-8258A-50-00 extension harness? That is a harness for a different application.

The ten pin harness that connects the 703 control box to the ten pin connector in the engine pan is a different part
number/different configuration. 688-8258A-20-00.

The 703 control box ten pin harness looks like item 49 in the illustration linked below. It has a ten pin connector at one end and bullet connectors at the other end.

try check out my pic the top 2 connectors is what is coming out of the motor now, a 8 pin and 6 pin. the bottom connector is a 10 pin. the guy i bought the controls from said that the controls are made for my motor the yamaha F100TXRZ but they do not fit together that is why im stumped.
