i have 2 airators for one livewell. one is connected to an on/off switch. i found another that is not connected, wires where cut off at the pump and can't find the supply ends. i have 2 new pumps and would like to connect both to an on/off/on switch that has 6 pins. i believe the power to the switch that operates the pump from the thru hull comes from a circuit breaker. how do i connect the wires from the 2 pumps to the switch so they operate only 1 at a time? a picture would be exellent. thank you.

Not enough info on your switch. use 1 dpdt switch, or two spst switches

i have a dpdt switch. does the power from the circuit breaker go to the two center pins, hot from one pump to top and hot from other to bottom and ground to batt - ? does it matter wich side of theswitch i hook it to? thanks.

Power to one of the center pins, hot from one pump to top pin on same side of switch and hot from other pump to bottom pin on same side of switch. You can just ground both pumps to battery or your distribution block. Is your switch illuminated? If so you'll need a ground to the switch for that.

Re: help wiring airator switch

thank you tsl812, it was very simple but i have no expierience with wiring and just didn't know. now that it's done i feel a little stupid for even asking! the switch is not illuminated so no problem there but if it was i think i could handle it now. thanks again.
