Hi,
I have a 17ft RIB with a 90Hp TLDI Tohatsu (2006)outboard on it currently
I have a michigan wheel vtx 13.25 x 17 (alu)propeller on it and get around 40Mph at 5200-5300WOT an with 3 people on board .
Now I would like to change to stainless steel to get some better performance. The recommended rpm for my engine is between 5150 and 5850rpm I always use my Boat on the ocean, and now and then pull a water toy. I am looking for a good all round prop that get's me good hole shot and good speed.
I got advice from powertech to look at nsr3 prop 16pitch or the rxb4 15pitch 4blade.
I've been looking around and seems like lot's of people prefer the turbo 1 over powertech.
Now the question is If I get a turbo 1 what pitch should I get to reach 5600-5700Rpm WOT.
I read that a stainless will turn quicker than a alu prop in same pitch is this true ? That would mean that I should get a 17pitch turbo 1.
Any help is apreciated,
Stef
