Hello all,
I have what I think is a 1987 year Mercury 25HP. Serial number is OB192412. I think that is an 87, right? It has an electric start and its a long shaft (my transom is 20", so I think this motor must be a long shaft). How do I tell exactly what model this is? I see several made in 1987. Also, I need some parts. I am needing a good prop, fuel filter, and impeller kit. Any ideas on where I can get the best prices? My local dealer is pretty expensive. Last but not least, I should run this at 50:1 correct? Also, what weight gear oil should I put in the lower unit? And does anyone have a manual?
