dusbbd...How hot is hot? At idle, you should be able to touch the flat area on top just forward of he head. It will get uncomfortable but shouldn't burn you. Now if your engine is hot enough that any place you touch will burn you, then you got a problem. If you have a strong discharge from the pee hole then it could be your thermostat is stuck closed. Also, how long has it been since you have had the impeller changed out? As for TNT wiring, I would suggest a service manual. Preferably an OEM manual although generics will have wiring diagrams in them. Try iboats store for the generics. Seyloc is about the best of the lot.

OBJim

Thanks for the reply,it does get unconfortable but it doesnt burn,so i guess it is ok,I just got the engine,so i dont know how long since the impeller was replaced, how often should it be changed? And will replacement of the thermostat should be relatively easy(no disassambling of powerhead)?or would be a job better left to the shop? Thanks again

dusbbd....If your not sure when the impeller was replaced last, probably a good idea to have it changed out. Many mech's recomend having the impeller changed out every other year or so. The T-stat is no problem. It's under a cover at the top of the cylinder head. This is where a service manual would come in real handy for ya'. A service manual takes the guess work out of the engine and the extra $$$ for an OEM manual will pay off in the long run.

OBJim :D

Have the Clymer, not the best, but doesnt state where is the relay junction box for the tnt system.looked under the hood and saw nothing, just a empty space underneath the fuel pump for "something" held from three bolts to the head, could that be the location?
