Help with a year

I have an Johnson 30hp and the only numbers i can find on it, is the quarter size disk mounted on the block. The number is R8611755, i cant find any reference on any website to these numbers. Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Did you look around the port side transom mount? Should be a data plate there. Get the model # off it.

There is no plates of any kind on the transom mount.

That Rxxxxx serial number is a Replacement powerhed, so is worthless as an ID. If the regular number plate is missing, you have nothing to go by other than decals, etc.
