Hi Gang,

First post here.

I was hoping I might get some help with a hull ID.

I'm in Australis and aware this may have only been built locally, but there is such a wealth of info and people in this forum, and I am now at a stage of trying any avenue I can to work out what she is before I start the rebuild.

The rebuild will happen regardless as I love her shape. ID'ing will just determine whether i do a faithful restore or just get creative.

She's all fiberglass.

It has been suggested she might be and early 1960's boat, but have scanned far and wide I reckon she looks more like those build in the late 50's.

Anyhow, I'm stumped so here are a few pics so see if any of you can help:

You beat me to it! I was gonna say it look like a picture off of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. lol

I thought it was some kind of joke at first.

No...no joke. Just me fuzzing out the background.

I've put the ID feelers out on a number of forums with not a single hit. So I think it might be time to get moving with plan A and do what I can best explain as a boat version of a mild hotrod....

Just ideas at this stage but yes... I like stripes!

I have loads of "how to" questions so will fire up another thread.

That's a pretty sweet looking shape. I really like the idea of following that line in the side as it droops towards the rear with the bottom paint. And keep the stripes too!

Hey Ron and thanks.

That black stripe is actuality the gunwhale rubber. The hull and deck have a seam here that.

My basic theme is pained white with red stripes (not sure on exact configuration yet). Black gunwhale rubber, screen trim and motor, dark tinted screen, and white/grey interior. All metal fitting polished stainless.

I'm hoping it'll make for a nice modernization of an old hull, while still keeping its style.
