Help with engine Mounting

Hi I've been havnig a problem with spray coming off my motor over the back of the transome at midto high speed. Another boater mentioned the motor may be to low on the transome.

From what I've read and pics I've seen I belive this may be the issue but being a novice at boating I thought I would get a second Opinion from you guys.

Try raising it up to the next set of holes.

You may be able to go 2 holes from looking at the pics. The cav plate can be about an inch above the hull centerline.Expect some better performance too

Ok well had to build up the top of the transome with the steel channel to accomidate the lift but looing good now just have to wait for my new rectifier to come ina and till next weekend to check for leeks and test her out at the new hight.
