Help With Exhaust Manifolds....

It looks like I am replacing my block so now trying to figure out what to keep and what to replace from the old motor. Looking at the exhaust manifolds it appears that one is cracked on the end and the other seems to be crack free. I took the end off the one with no cracks and there was some rust but don't know if this is to much rust or okay.

When it comes to the exhaust manifolds is there anything I should be looking out for?

Thanks to all for the help and advise! :D

Ditto's,

You should replace both the manifolds and risers on a new engine.

You can get them from a variety of places including right
here!

Or other places like eBasic power, NAPA, etc...

Thank you for the quick replies! :)

I should probably be asking the reverse question...are there any parts you can keep on a 30 year old motor?

Re: Help With Exhaust Manifolds....

Ebasicpower usually has the best deals on the complete kit with all new risers,manifolds,gaskets,ect...
I bought a kit a couple weeks ago for a 5.7 Merc and it was about 450 bucks.
Wholesale Marine has some good deals too.....shop around.;)
