Help with finding parts

O.K, so I know my 25hp Mercury is a 1987. Serial number is OB192412. I am looking up parts and getting pretty confused. Every where I look it lists model numbers or serial numbers that make no sense. For example, I am looking for the correct fuel filter and housing and an impeller kit. When I look at parts sites I find several models of 1987 25hp Mercury motors with weird model numbers like 1025207. Whats up? My motor is a long shaft with an electric start.

If your SN is B192412 then it fits between the B114231 and B238464. Yup its a 87 model ELXD- (electric with 25" shaft). From there find your parts in Sierra or whose ever parts house you wish.

H = TILLER HANDLE STEERING

Your service manual part number from mercury is 90-435093 - 18/20/25 HP's
