I have a 1987 Force 125 with very low hours. Last season it had a periodic bog at full throttle that was worse in choppy conditions. This yr I cleaned the fuel filter which was full of dirt. Put it back together and now I have NO POWER at all, Full throttle feels like half throttle, and the carbs are opening fully. PLEASE HELP

Ahoy, Michael. Pump your primer bulb when this happens. If she picks up, and I expect that she will, something is restricting fuel flow. Replace the filter. Sometimes "cleaning" clogs it up. If that doesn't solve it overhaul your fuel pump.

Let us know how it comes out.

Smooth waters.
JB

Re: Help with Force 125

Thanks very much for the reply, The diaphragms in the fuel pump look like new. I changed my username to DJzig23 so you will see the posting twice. In the other I mentioned that the boat did fill with rainwater when the cover ripped this winter. Its been cleaned and dried since but could the decking and underneath be waterlogged or full of water, I hope this isn't it!!

What make and model boat? Sitting full of rainwater is as bad as being sunk on some boats, worse on others.

Good luck.
JB
