I know this is not an evinrude question but i have a sierra fuel water seperator system hooked up to my 90horse evinrude v4. i recently replaced the filter which looks like an oil filter. my question is do i need to prime the fuel system in any way, bleed the air out or anything, i dont want to cause any problems with the motor thanks.

You do have to fill the filter and lines with fuel. Squeezing the primer bulb until it is hard will do that. It takes less time if you fill the filter with fuel before screwing it down.

Remember to fill it with mixed fuel not just straight gas.I use about half Seafoam and gas.

Re: help with fuel/water seperator

If you have a full sized water separating filter, that much SeaFoam would decarb the engine a little, but might make the run pretty trying to say the least.

Use premix unless you are using the VRO or OMS, in which case use straight gasoline.
