I have a Gamefisher 7.5 and I am in the process or rebuilding it. I have most of the replacement gaskets and dismanteling it. One problem I ran into is seperating the lower unit from the bottom side of the engine. I removed the 6 hex torque bolts, broke the seal on the gasket but the lower unit only will move down 1/8 of an inch. I cant figure out whats holding the two parts together. Plz, Plz, Plz does anyone have any blowup diagrams of this engine and lower unit they could send to me, pdf, copy, E-Mail....

The unit is:

Gamefisher 7.5
Tecumseh Motor
Model # 217 685840
Serial # 08-174878

Thats all of the information I have on it, any help on this little jewl will help.

Thanks again,
Jerry.....

Alright Jerry, the problem is the model # you posted is wrong. It's actually 585840, and you can access diagrams through the Sears parts website www3.sears.com (make sure it's www3) just type in your model number 585840
