Help with Merc i/o

I have a 97 Merc i/o 135hp that I cannot get started since it died on me the other night on the lake. It tries to turn over on the first crank with a fresh battery, then it just starts clicking every time after that when I turn the key. Any suggestions or ideas?<br /><br />Thanks!

pull spark plugs and check for water. could be hydraulic lock if only making part of a turn befor clicking. this cant wait. no other problem is going to progressivly destroy engine while you think about it.
