I have an older Motorguide III trolling motor that I would like to know what kind of thrust it produces. I believe it to be a model 2600 from others I've seen. Mine has no readable tags or stickers and Motoguide's website will not even admit they built such a thing. This motor moves my 16' bayliner Trophy o.k. however, this is my first boat and trolling motor. Also my friend is trying to give me a Motorguide Lazer 320es with 37# thrust and electric steer ( I Like this function!) Should I "out with the old" and in with the "not as old" ? Any opinion or help would be great. Thanks.
