have a 1997 force 120 on a 17' astro bass boat.today I took it out fishing & after about 3 hours I decided
to head in for lunch.cranking battery was dead...when I first launched she fired off really quick as usual.no problem,
I switched my trolling battery & cranking battery out & headed the 15 miles back to the launch.motor ran fine hauling butt
back in.where I launch you have to idle about 1/4 mile up the slough to get to the ramp.right as I approached the ramp my
overheat alarm sounded.the peehole was flowing hard as usual.I just killed the motor as soon as the alarm went off &
trailered by hand.dont know what is making it overheat.also, dont know if this has anything to do with the overheat or
not but, last few times out after I ran 15 miles & then stopped & fished for a few hours the motor was hard to start, usually
had to turn it over a few times & maybe give it a little throttle before it would start.always starts pretty easy the first time out though.
any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!
