What would a used (but good) 8 HP P165 good for?

I'd like to know where I can find out all about them.

For ex: Is it 4 stroke?

What is the size of the pitch & the stroke?

What year was it built?

Where can I get parts if needed?

Thank u in advance for prompt replies.

P165 means nothing and other details are impossible to find unless you provide a manufacturer name and serial number. Armed with that information you can do your own google searches. The engine, if it runs and is making full power, will be good on any boat that requires 8 HP to push it. A 10 or 12 foot row boat would be my guess. It might also suffice on a lightweight 14 tiny. If the engine has a dipstick it is likely a four stroke. If it has an external oil tank or requires mixing oil with fuel it is a two stroke. I assume you mean "bore" and "stroke" rather than "pitch" and "stroke". Pitch refers to the propeller (as diameter and pitch). Bore and stroke refers to the engine cylinder bore diameter. Stroke refers to the length of the piston stroke.
