I need some help with parts... I noticed I had some water in my lower unit... According to the parts diagram, there are only 2 seals and 1 o'ring that need to be replaced... on the bearing carrier...(If i'm looking at the diagram correctly) # 31 and 49 I circled in red... Am I correct in saying those's are the only 3 that need to be replaced.

Thanks Mav

No !! There are more around the drive shaft and ect. Have the lower unit pressure and vacuum checked at a dealer and that will tell you exactly where it's leaking.

Correct-----Each of the 4 screws has a wee o-ring too.----------Shift rod has an o-ring.-----Shift rod cover has a gasket.

There is nothing wrong with the diagram. See 25, 7, 8, 48, 32A, 53A, and probably a few more I missed.

I took the boat in to get a test on the lower unit and as he Lord the Lord unit down it just leaked from the prop I was told is the two seals in the rear does that make sense every time he raised the motor and lower it back down it leaks

Probably full of fish line. Are you attempting this repair yourself?

Yes I am attempting the repair myself...replacing the 2 seals don't look that hard...As soon as air was pumped into the lower unit, it ran out of the lower unit, out of the prop area.....I changed the oil, and as I was filling, it ran out of the lower unit...The rest of the unit seemed fine no oil leaking...I seen a couple of utube video;s changing the out without pulling the hub...can this be done....
