Hello,
Ihave a 1983 Baja 190TC, MCM260 With alpha drive.I bought the boat from someone I thought was being honest.Come to find this was not true.I completed the repairs ,which went great thanks to all on here who helped, then proceeded to try figure out the "no go issue" I had. Took the boat out for test and shifted ran great could do 10/15 mph but give it some throttle and it slipped. Was praying not the coupler!!
So take the boat home take the prop off and I thought something was wierd right away, looking att prop shaft I could see 1/8"of threads on the prop shaft nut.I thought for sure that I should see at least some of the shaft thru the end of the nyloc nut on a proper setup.
Well to make a long story short fromm inspecting a friends setup, which is the same engine only much larger boat 22' celebrity cutty,I brrowed his prop which I,m not sure of dimensions and installed a new stingray xp2 foil and my boat flies.Sorry can't tell you top speed, I have more repairs to do which I will do now that mech.all is well, my WOT was 5000rpms if gauge is right.
Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Re: Help with prop set-up

Sounds like your prop may just have a spun hub.mark across the hub and run it and then check the mark.A prop shop can rehub and make any repairs that may be needed.Don't know your max rpm rating but your surely close if not over.Check for numbers on the prop something like -- X -- Diameter X pitch.
You need to find your max rated rpm.sometimes on a label on the motor.
Getting a gps speed would help as well.
