I've got a shiny new Racor filter/separator that needs to be installed on my boat. its a 25ft Premier pontoon with the PTX package. The gas tank is below deck in the back of the middle toon. I'm looking for advice on where to mount this filter. Does it go before or after the bulb? Is there a limit on how much higher the filter can be above the fuel tank before I overcome the motors fuel pump? Here are some pics of my transom area. Thanks.

Primer bulbs flake off on the inside so place the filter between it and the motor,I would keep it about the same height as the tank. You can mount it on the piece of starboard at the rear of the tank

It doesn't matter how high it is because you use the primer bulb to fill the line and once full, gravity takes over as the motor is generally lower than the tank on a pontoon which is why the tank should also have an anti-siphon valve installed at it's outlet if it doesn't already have one.

I was worried about mounting it level with the tank on that metal wall behind the tank. that area gets pretty wet and when in the water usually has several inches of standing water. i'm thinking somewhere on the thick metal edging of the main deck on the starboard side.
