Re: help with sears 3.5
are these bad motors ? it runs pretty good and i paid 50$ for it
They have a reputation for being finicky. Stories like "started and ran good to fishing hole wouldn't start for the trip home.or stalls or hard to start, starts one day not the next.
Unfortunately there is a reason it was $50.
There are a few that have been successful with them but one guy had something like 5 and was thinking of junking them all when he got through
fiddling with them. Clean her up good get her runnig good and see if you can turn a little profit.then save up for that Evinrude or Johnson 3 hp 52-68.64 up are 50:1
Will run circles around that 3.5 and do it quieter, smoother and much more reliably. And the bonus..routine parts are available everywhere. More difficult
parts are readily available new and used with a little research.
