Intro; am not super-technical and dumber than my smart phone.
I have a 1993 EV140 0B on a 20' Striper. In early August I took it to the shop for a 100 hr. service. This afternoon, in prep for taking it out for the first time since service, I wanted to run the engine in my driveway... 'cept I can't raise or lower the engine. The shop flipped this lever apparently while working on the engine for saftey, but never reset it, and now they are closed. My family is all set for a day on the water tomorrow, and I can't figure out how to release this lever and drop the motor. The up button on the power tilt doesn't work in this position, and I can't budge the motor trying to lift it, or do anything that will release this. My bad for not noticing this after I picked it up from the shop, but I have NEVER used this lever, and am clueless on how to get the lever to move or release the engine so the power tilt will again engage and lower the engine.
Thanks in advance for any helpful tips. If anyone here can offer help that can still get me and the family on the water tomorrow morning, as 12-pack of a favorite beverage is on me.
