Help with trailer

Hey guys. Was looking over the boat and trailer the other day and saw where it has a lot of scuffs on the hull. Looking at the trailer it looks like the hull is hitting the trailer when loading/unloading. I wondered if I should put another roller in this area to keep this from happening or adjust the bunks higher or? This boat/trailer is new to me and I haven't even had it out on the water yet. The boat also sits crooked but the bunks are completely even. Not sure if the boat's just not on there straight or what. Here's a few pics of where I think it's hitting. Thanks for the help.

Does look, to me, like it could take another roller.

It looks to me like you missed the roller a couple times, also that the roller has seen better days and needs to be replaced.

Re: Help with trailer

It's difficult to give a good read on the problem but definitely looks like the hull is hitting the trailer frame and at times may have skidded along side of the roller bracket. Either another keel roller or better yet since your hull is a v shape another set of bunks, closer together, for centering purposes. The original bunks are good support but it appears they are not helping much to keep the boat centered as you load.

Re: Help with trailer

Looks like loading on a shallow ramp had caused it to hit the trailer many times, and I agree on a extra small set of gide bunks. I had to add a set on my old trailer just to keep it centered.

Re: Help with trailer

I see what you're saying about another set of bunks. Looks like it would be the best solution. How would I go about doing that? I looked on iboats site but didn't really see anything. Looking around on the net I found this http://www.easternmarine.com/pontoon-trailer-bunk-bracket-44012. Would something like that work with a small piece of wood/carpet on it? Or could I get a pair of these http://www.easternmarine.com/8-galvanized-bunk-bolster-bracket-kit-81210 and just attach a small piece of wood to each one? I also saw the self aligning rollers but haven't heard anything about how well they actually work. Here's a pic of the whole boat on the trailer if that might help any. Thanks.
