Help with trim pump

I was wondering if someone could help me out? I just replaced the trim motor on my pump assembly, (black fill plug) and it would lower the piston but not raise it, so while investigating the issue I had a bunch of small parts fall out from where the pump and cylinder attach. I looked at photos in the repair manual and photos online of the parts breakdown but I cant seem to find where all these parts belong. Does anyone have any working of how all this goes back inside? Thanks in advance.

Gee, what motor (HP and year). There are several different PTT units used over the years.

its a 1996 mercury 75hp outboard. it is the single piston integrated system.
