HELP with trolling motor wiring

I am trying to wire an evinrude scout trolling motor. Need help with which wire goes where. There is a red, black and white that needs to be put somewhere. HELP!!<br />Thanks in advance.<br />L J<br /><br />I did search in the previously posted subjects and was unsuccessful

Howdy, LJ.<br /><br />The red goes through a fuse or circuit breaker, at least 30 amps, to the hot side of the battery.<br /><br />Black to the ground side of the battery. <br /><br />Not sure about the white, but it may be an additional "earth" ground.<br /><br />Good luck.
