Help with Vista

My system updated automatically and left me with big trouble!! Know some programs open two big for the monitor. I am unable to change the display setting because the window is to large for the monitor. Tried running system restore and each time I get a message that tells me it did not restore correctly.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

try right click on the desktop, (not on an icon) then choose properties and set the res lower

also some video cards support scrolling, try moving your pointer (mouse thingy) to the side of the screen.

hope this helps I don't run vista or other billy ware
