I have a 2007 Mercury Optimax 135 that needs a water pump impeller. I'm a diesel mechanic, so I think I can do this. It looks pretty straight forward, but I'm not sure about getting the shift rod disconnected. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any tips that I might not be aware of?Thanks in advance. P.S. I have done this on an older Evinrude engine,but never a Mercury.
