I recently sold my old boat with yamaha 2 strokes and bought a new boat with a 4 stroke. This is all new to me and I'm wondering if maintenance, service, and winterization is the same. Before I purchase a manual, can anyone send a link or file that has the manual? The motor is a 2006 F250TUR. Thanks.

Re: Help with Yamaha 4 stroke

This is a very good, technically advanced motor....maint. is pretty simple, oil every 50 to 100 hrs(depending on duty), service is ONLY from Yamaha dealer as it has lots of electronics and other things that the old guy down the road will just screw up and winterization depends on where you live....we don't do that down here, except to drain all fuel from engine's VST, filters, etc. About the only thing a shadetree should touch on THIS motor is the lower unit/water pump....certainly one of the most dependable motors when taken care of...you don't give any info at all....saltwater, freezing, use?
