Help with Yamaha FT9.9EXH float adjustment

Could anyone help me with what the float adjustment should be on a 1987 Yamaha 4 stroke 9.9 HP Model: FT9.9EXH, Code: 6G8, S/N: 782010 outboard motor carburetor? The carburetor is stamped 6G800 TEIKEI Japan. Any info on this carburetor that I?m finishing a rebuild on would be very much appreciated!

I don't know if this is too late or not, but for a 1988 model they show a float height of 25.5 +.5mm (1" +0.020)

This is measuring (with the carb upside down) from the surface that the float chamber seals on (not counting the gasket) to the highest part of the float.

Sdsaw - You were in plenty of time and thank you for the valuable info you provided. I had to order a few parts so it took a little time to do the rebuild on the carb. The motor now runs perfect thanks to a little help from you?.Scott
