Does anyone have an idea on the best way to get a yellowish boat to a bright white. My boat is 6 years old and has that off white look to it. I dont think i will ever get it bright white because i dont think it was ever bright white, but i want to bleach it as white as possible inside and out. I have tried all oxidation removers and bleach but not much progress. Can you wet sand it? Can you wax it with a white wax or something? Any help is appreciated.

I assume you boat is fiberglass. If so, you're out a luck. The color is under a clear coat of resin.

The only way to change the color is to paint it. That opens up a whole new discussion.

The only way to restore your bright white is with a good buffer, buffing compound (available at most auto paint stores) and a good set of strong arms. Buffing will remove a very thin layer of the gelcoat (i.e. the yellow junk) and get you back to the bright white.
Richard RG

On my boat I had a few stubborn areas that were stained/ discolored. I used size 0000 steel wool first to remove the dead surface layer, wet sanded with 600 then 800. Polished with polishing compound with buffer, and then used Maguires Boat/RV wax. The surface looks like new, you can even see your reflection in it! It was alot of work, but the work was cheaper than a repaint. :D
